It is with great sadness that the Board of Trustees of the Family Counselling Trust (FCT) has decided to close the Charity. Along with many other small charities FCT has experienced significant difficulties raising the level of funds required to meet service demand. For any queries please contact info@familycounsellingtrust.org
Our counsellors are qualified, experienced & passionate.
You will be matched with the best pre-vetted counsellors in your area, according to your child & family's needs.
The most important thing about counselling is that the child/young person likes the therapist, feels relaxed and comfortable and that the therapist ’gets’ them. Some children find it very difficult to talk to a stranger, especially about sensitive things so we work hard to get a good fit between the child and the therapist, the therapist’s skills and the area in which the child lives.
"Without FCT advising me and pairing us with our counsellor I would still be floundering, not knowing where to turn or who to use."

"The guidance given throughout the process and the knowledge that the person helping my child was a trained professional that had been recommended through a trust that has ensured their suitability. My main issue with obtaining therapy for my child was allowing a strange adult unhindered access to my child's thoughts and feelings and trusting them to help and not take advantage. The FCT service made me feel more relaxed and able to trust the therapist"
